Hottest UFC Prospects to Look out for in 2022

Dana White has stated that 2022 will be a fantastic and exciting year for the UFC. The UFC is always putting on incredible shows for us amazing fans to witness live at the event or in our living room in front of a TV wherever we are in the world.

Dana White and the UFC scouting team are always on the hunt for highly rated prospects who they believe have the potential to hold gold eventually in their careers.

In this list today, I will be sharing my thoughts on who I believe are the hottest UFC prospects to look out for in 2022.

Number 1)

Alex "Po Atan" Pereira (Middleweight)

Alex Pereria (5-1 MMA) (1-0 UFC) is an extremely dangerous man. His kickboxing record (40-7) and accolades are super impressive and most notably knocking out UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya with his signature left hook after 3 rounds in a kickboxing match.

Pereria's UFC debut came at UFC 268 against Jiu-Jitsu black belt Andreas Michailidis where he was victorious after an impressive flying knee knockout at the beginning of the second round. Definately one to look out for !

Number 2)

Ian "The Future" Garry (Welterweight)

Ian Garry (8-0 MMA) (1-0 UFC) is another highly rated prospect considered by many to be the heir to Conor McGregor. Fighting out of Dublin, Ireland whilst training at Sanford MMA in Florida, Garry put together a very impressive 7 fight win streak during his time at Cage Warriors before being signed to the UFC.

Garry also made his UFC Promotional debut at UFC 268 at Maddison Square Garden knocking out Jordan Williams right at the end of the first round.

Number 3)

"King" Casey O'Neil (Woman's Flyweight)

Casey O'Neil (9-0 MMA) (4-0 UFC) is a undefeated prospect who get's better and better each time we see her fight. O'Neil was born in Irvine, Scotland but eventually moved to Gold Coast, Australia where she got into MMA and had her first 4 professional bouts.

Since signing for the UFC she has had a perfect 4-0 record with 3 finishes. She has trained at Tiger Muay Thai and now based in Las Vegas at Extreme Couture I am confident she will definitely be the face of Woman's MMA in the years to come.

Number 4)

Lerone Murphy (Featherweight)

Lerone Murphy (11-0-1 MMA) (3-0-1 UFC) is one of Britains top prospects. Fighting out of Manchester, England and building a impressive 8-0 regional professional record before being signed to the UFC Murphy is one to look out for. The blue belt in Jiu-jitsu has fabulous striking and killer instinct. Each time we see him fight he gets better and better.

Number 5)

Shavkat Rakhmonov (Welterweight)

Shavkat Rakhmonov (15-0 MMA) (3-0 UFC) is a man who nobody wants to fight. Being a master of sport in Combat Sambo, Rakhmonov definitely has the skillset to become a UFC Champion eventually. With all his UFC wins coming by finish he is a extremely dynamic and aggressive fighter who is always on the hunt for a finish.

Number 6)

Said Nurmagomedov (Bantamweight)

Said Nurmagomedov (15-2 MMA) (4-1 UFC) is a dangerous fighter standing or on the ground. Having an impressive reach (70 in) for a bantamweight he has a clear advantage. With finishes by striking and submission this is a risky fight for anyone. Fighting and training out of Dagestan, Russia we can only expect Nurmagomedov to improve every time he steps into the octagon.
